The Four Clifton Beaches
Clifton 1st Beach: The quietest and most secluded of the four. Popular with families and those seeking a more relaxed atmosphere away from the crowds.
Clifton 2nd Beach: Slightly more sheltered and popular with regular visitors who return to the same spot each year. Rocky outcrops on either side provide natural windbreaks.
Clifton 3rd Beach: One of Cape Town’s most photographed stretches of sand. The white-sand cove and clear blue water make it the most scenic of the four beaches. The majority of our Clifton beach houses sit above or adjacent to 3rd Beach.
Clifton 4th Beach: Clifton’s most social beach. Popular with a younger crowd, it has access to the famous Clifton strip and is the starting point for many of the sunset-watching walks up Lion’s Head.
