CAPE TOWN'S FINEST VILLA EXPERIENCES

Camps Bay Area Guide

Welcome to Cape Town, and welcome to Camps Bay. We’re delighted to have you visiting one of South Africa’s most beautiful beachfront suburbs. With sweeping ocean views, palm-lined beaches, and the Twelve Apostles towering above, Camps Bay offers an unforgettable beach experience.

This is Cape Town’s iconic holiday strip, where stylish restaurants, cafes, beach bars, and vibrant sunsets draw locals and tourists alike all year round. Whether you want to relax by the sea, explore the city, or enjoy a night out, Camps Bay is a perfect base.

Orientation & Getting Around

Camps Bay is perfectly positioned for exploring Cape Town’s Atlantic Seaboard, with beaches, restaurants, and cafés all within easy reach.

Getting Around:

  • Walking: Camps Bay is great for strolling down the strip or to the beach.
  • Driving: The best way to explore the wider Cape Peninsula, wine regions, and Table Mountain. Parking can be limited near the beach on busy days, so arrive early.
  • Uber: Reliable and convenient for local trips or evenings out – Uber Black offers the most comfortable option.
  • Private Drivers: Cape Concierge can arrange a private driver for day trips, scenic tours, or airport transfers. We are partnered with LTC Luxury Travel & Adventures (PTY) Ltd who offer luxurious transfers and full-day itineraries.

Weather & Seasonal Tips

Camps Bay enjoys long, sunny summer days with occasional strong South Easter winds – If the wind is blowing hard, the Clifton beaches nearby are very sheltered. Winter brings mild days, cooler evenings, and dramatic sunsets over the ocean.
The busiest months are December and January – visit beaches early to avoid crowds. Always carry a light jacket asCape Town weather can change in minutes and evenings can be cool.
